IT

Before you say,

“where the hello have you been?”

I KNOW I haven’t blogged in a longggg time.

Yet, I still love you all long time.

Let’s pick up from October 2013, when I left off with Ghostbusters.

There are several more movies I have watched since then including one with this character…

I never thought I was afraid of clowns until I saw these teeth.
They actually made me jump.

THEN I found out who’s teeth those were… Tim Curry.

In sixth sense, that kid sees dead people but now all I see is clowns when I see Tim Curry.

Not only is this a horror movie but it’s one of the longest one’s I’ve watched, its actually a tv mini series and maybe this is why so many of you saw this great movie on tv.

I ended up needing a drink after spotting Tim’s teeth which assisted me in watching the rest of this movie and trying to understand the workings of
Stephen King’s brain when he wrote out the plot.

I read a few plot summaries on imdb.com by various people:

“In 1960, a group of social outcasts who are bullied by a gang of greasers lead by Henry Bowers are also tormented by an evil demon who can shapeshift into a clown and feed on children's fears and kill them. After defeating the demonic clown as kids, it resurfaces 30 years later and they must finish it off as adults once again.- Written by Blake

“A group of adults take a blast from the past. They remember when they were nerds in school, hanging out, victim of bullies. But nothing out of the question compares with one big bully of Evil unspeakable. the bully is a monster in a clowns suit. He is deadly, can be any were anyone, at any time. with supernatural powers. They call him "IT".-Written by sam

My first question is why are the kids losers?
What is so important about that…?

Is Stephen trying to say that clowns like losers or that losers get eaten first?

I’m a loser…this worries me.

Pennywise could be under my bed...

I was 5 when this movie came out, the majority of people my age have seen it. Also most of these people are afraid of clowns.

So what’s wrong with your parents? is my second question.

Or is it that you were just channel surfing and saw a cool red haired clown and thought,
“5 year old self, that red haired dude looks like he’s trying to hang with those nerds. I want to watch him try!”

A question that just came to my mind also, is why is the clown’s name Pennywise?

If you know let me know…

I also found the best page ever about Pennywise: http://stephenking.wikia.com/wiki/It_(creature)

They have a biography.

I will sign off with a public service announcement:

Coulrophobia- fear of clowns.

Don’t let your children watch the movie IT, they will end up like the woman in this article below.

P.S here is a wiki how page on how to avoid  Coulrophobia just in case ;)
